I absolutely love Sogno Toscano in Santa Monica! I stopped by to watch the Oscars and had such a fun and cozy night. The vibe was perfect, and the food… wow! I had the eggplant sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and so fresh.

I actually learned about this restaurant through my friend Giselle, and I’m so grateful I did! Both times I’ve visited, she gave me such special attention and made sure to accommodate me and my friends so well. Her kindness and care really make the experience extra memorable.

The staff overall is incredibly friendly and polite, which always makes a difference. You can tell they truly care about creating a welcoming atmosphere.

I’ve also been to their location at The Grove, and the food there was just as spectacular. It’s always such a treat to find places where you know the quality and service will never disappoint.

Can’t wait to be back! Dining out at spots like this reminds me why I love exploring new restaurants. Sogno Toscano is definitely a gem.

Food is absolutely delicious. Although the menu has a slim selection. The wine list is overpriced and a triumph of mediocrity. The atmosphere is nice with a small band that plays while you dine. The seating isn’t great. Store items too overpriced. Hopefully they will drop the store area and expand the dining area. Still a great spot for great Italian favorites.

It’s such a lovely experience to enjoy a meal and live music at Sogno! There was an accordion player today, which added to the authentic Italian ambience. I often buy their taralli crackers from the market, but it was nice to sit down and enjoy a sandwich. It’s quite expensive, but the meal was delicious.

I was at a celebration with friends from the cinema and LABRFF, last Sunday March 2 to celebrate the nomination of the Brazilian production for the Oscar... and everything was wonderful! The restaurant is very welcoming, a delightful atmosphere to be with friends, the service was very good and the food was delicious!!! I hope for other opportunities like this! ✨

I hosted a fundraiser here last night (about 60 people) on the patio and it was amazing. Everyone raved about the food, the wines, and the venue as a whole. The Sogno Toscano team was a pleasure to work with to pull of such a successful event.

An absolute treasure!! I was transported to Italy by the quality of the food and the ambiance. The wine selection is top rated. Ask Simone for wine suggestions. We tried 3 different wines, and they were all “perfetto”.
The waiters are attentive and friendly. I also had the most wonderful chat, with the manger, Cesar, about how the restaurant uses ingredients from Italy to make the dishes. The prices are very fair for the quality of the food. Oh and the espresso along with the pistachio croissants is the best way to end the meal.

Bologna, it gets a bad wrap ever since that Oscar Meyer guy started parading his Weiner around town. But this…this ain’t no ordinary “baloney” my friends. These rich, smooth, and luxurious slices of Mortadella melt in your mouth like satin sheets designed for your tongue. Rested between fresh Focaccia bread, Mozzarella, and a glaze of pesto all directly imported from Italia, and you have a sandwich that would make my late, Great, Uncle Tony Bartarelli shed tears of Limoncello while exclaiming, “Now that’s good stuff!”
I found Sogno Toscano by happy accident. Upon arrival, I was met by an oracle with piercing blue eyes who seemed to divinely guide me to the bologna sandwich. I just had one question...Did I choose it or did it choose me?
I took my treasure to-go and headed to the Getty Museum. At first glance, I was immediately filled with the kind of greedy lust that transformed Sméagol into Gollum. Holy crap what a beautiful sammich. What I wasn’t prepared for, was the Cannellini bean and olive medley, drizzled in olive oil, blowing my mind. Not the sexiest by any means but it’s the kind of side dish that might make you leave your main dish and start a new life in Tuscany. It tasted like home… & I don’t even know where home is anymore.
As I was taking everything in I started to think, “Why do I even need to step foot into the Getty?” Everything I’m going to see was inspired by the beauty set before me outside those four walls, what’s more impressive than nature itself?
Well, that was a dumb thought. I’m always in awe of what we humans, made in the image of God, can create with our own hands. If you’re feeling down, or up, depressed, or happy, lacking inspiration, or chock full of it, get something good to eat, go to your local museum, and allow yourself to explore in childlike wonder. Find something interesting and stare at it until it speaks to you. Or, just have a good laugh at the expense of those who have fallen asleep.
In a world full of ugliness, chaos, and tragedy, there is still so much beauty to behold in this life...and in your hands if you can get them on a bologna sandwich from Sogno Toscano.
