This is the first California native plant nursery I've ever been to. I love the selection of plants and the demonstration garden is a pleasant experience, along with getting to meet the chickens. Small nursery, looks like a project that was a passion or hobby and they just decided to invite people in to peruse. Small selection of plants, most not labeled or priced but still some nice looking specimens. They also have some nice used terra-cotta pots. Very small selection of succulents when I was there

What a beautiful place this is! Why everyone in the city isn't flocking here to fill our outdoor spaces with native flowers is just beyond me. The prices are great, the shopkeeper is knowledgeable. The vibe is peaceful and spacious. I feel like I've done something beautiful for my yard and meaningful for our natural environment by restoring some native habitat for birds, insects, and other things I don't have the specialized education to understand. It was a great experience and look at these flowers that I'm about to plant! Everything here was $12-$14 a pot. I did buy two beautiful plants right next door at a different shop, so you may see two that aren't native plants (not sure, myself). Go there! And take your kids. There are GOATS! And chickens!

Disappointed. I called in advance during their open hours to confirm their stock. No one answered. Voicemail message stating I would get call back- they never did. I decided to go anyway since it was close by. They were open on but no one was present. The place is pretty small. The website makes it look larger. Most of the plants looked sad - wilted and near death as if they haven't been watered in days. I was astonished -something definitely going wrong here. Heron's Head Nursery, which is next door, offers mostly non-native plants but has a small native section. Fortunately I found a few plants there that I was looking for.

One of my favorite places in San Francisco. The selection of plants is amazing and I so enjoy just walking around and taking in the beauty and, on top of that, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable...its such a pleasure. I love the relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful flowers and,
of course, feeding the goats and chickens. They are so cute.

Cool large open yard of plants and artwork. There’s a bunch of handmade outdoor chairs and handmade coat hangers/ wall hooks. The owner is clearly a very plant-oriented artist. Oh, and they have a group of beautiful free range chickens! Come for the plants, stay for the artwork and beautiful chickens.
